In the right hands, good music doesn't take much. In the case of The Brass Kings, the term "stripped down" is a bit of an understatement - one well-picked guitar, a washboard, and a one-string rope bass is all they need to create a sturdy blues/folk sound. Sub out the washboard for a djembe and they're tooling around with an Eastern meets Western design for added depth. The Brass Kings are a treat for blues, folk and bluegrass enthusiasts and for music fans in general, especially fans of "how'd they do that?"
